It’s getting festive this October! This week, Philly hosts plenty of concerts, festivals, and parties. Not to mention, the major PA Conference for Women is happening this week as well! Don’t forget to tag your events out and about with #ThisWeekInPhilly.

Monday, October 8th
  • Center City Restaurant Week might have ended, but there are tons of other areas to explore. Northeast Philly Restaurant Week is running until Tuesday, October 9 at neighborhood favorites like Three Monkey’s Cafe, The Grey Lodge Pub, and more.
  • Head over to the Wells Fargo Center for a performance by Phil Collins at 8pm!
Tuesday, October 9th
  • Join the Franklin Institute for an evening of astronomy activities hosted by Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts from 7-10pm. Night Skies in the Observatory is an all ages monthly stargazing event.
  • Did you know… students get unlimited access to Philadelphia Orchestra concerts for $25! The season kicks off with a free concert at Philadelphia Orchestra College Night at Verizon Hall.
Wednesday, October 10th
  • Enjoy cocktails and a feast fit for a viking warrior, live entertainment, and many exciting surprises throughout the evening as The Franklin Institute welcomes its newest exhibition, “Vikings: Beyond The Legend” from 7-10pm.
  • Get into the spooky spirit and join Philadelphia’s Historic Neighborhood Consortium for an evening of terrifying tales and haunting history at Drinks and Dread at the American Philosophical Society from 6-8:30pm.
Thursday, October 11th
  • Develop your own personal brand by attending Safeco Agency’s industry-leading Marketing Workshop at the Hyatt House Philadelphia from 9am-3:30pm.
  • Dust off your most fabulous Pride attire, break out the glitter, and head over to Infusion Lounge from 9pm-2am to celebrate love and life at the Big Gay Glitter Party.
  • Catch the opening night of the Pennsylvania Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet at the Academy of Music at 7:30pm.
Friday, October 12th
  • The Pennsylvania Conference for Women* will feature inspirational keynote speakers, Serena Williams and Amal Clooney. Of course, there are also ample opportunities to develop relationships with thousands of women leaders. The one-day event will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from 7am-5pm.
  • Be the first to enjoy the brand new Cherry Street Pier, opening today at 5pm. The Pier will be a market, workspace, venue, and park, equitably shared and enriched by residents and visitors. Get ready for the Festival for the People on the pier starting tomorrow!
  • At Laurel Hill Cemetery from 7-9pm, True Tales from the Tombs will feature stories of the Cemetery’s most provocative and memorable permanent residents.
  • Maroon 5 is bringing their Red Pill Blues Tour to Philadelphia with Julia Michaels. Come rock out with Adam Levine and the band with their new hits and old goodies.
Saturday, October 13th
  • Get your groove on from 1-4pm at Dilworth Park! Sponsored by Optimal Sport 1315,* Dance for Peace with Zumba is designed to show that Zumba Fitness can be an outlet for love and togetherness.
  • Don’t miss the 10th anniversary of Blocktoberfest on South Street with delicious food trucks, craft beer, and great music from 12-8pm.
  • Indulge your taste buds at Philly Cheesesteak & Food Fest with the city’s most iconic foods featuring 25+ restaurants & vendors, live entertainment, a cheesesteak eating competition, and more! The festival will be celebrating all day at 2300 Arena from 1-6pm.
  • Wear your costume, collect candy, get lost in a hay maze and celebrate the season at the first night of Boo at the Zoo at the Philadelphia Zoo.
Sunday, October 14th
  • At Pickledelphia Pickle Festival, passionate pickle fans can expect to see the Great “Philly” Fried Pickle debate. In addition, enjoy pickle vendors, a gourmet pickle eating contest, and much more! Head over to the Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons from 1-6pm!
  • Morris Animal Refuge and Amrita Yoga and Wellness are excited to bring you another set of Puppy Yoga sessions, starting today at 1:30pm.
